6th Graders are Roving Mars!
6th Grade Science students were roving Mars the past two weeks and/or rocking Mission Control! They mapped the crater, designed their path and points of interest, collected surface data on factors that might support life on Mars and communicated via computer, only able to see their rovers positioning during scheduled, silent flybys. They concluded their roving and then conducted a mission analysis. In addition to this adventure, they added their names to the list going to Mars aboard the InSight geological lander set to launch in May 2018. Halfway through the first trimester, these students are learning to be independent scientists and are doing awesome work!
