Allen Academy seeks a dynamic, productive partnership with its alumni and the AAFSA Advisory Board works with the faculty, staff and administration of the school and with the Board of Trustees to sustain that partnership. The Advisory Board is being established to support the alumni of the school and the educational program and operations of the school, and to represent the voice of alumni in the life of Allen.

The AAFSA Advisory Board has specific responsibility for:

• Helping to develop and carry out events and activities that serve the alumnae/i of the school;
• Helping to preserve the personal relationships, memories, and traditions connecting alumnae/i with the school; Serving as a key channel of communication for alumnae/i to the Board of Trustees and to the school administration regarding the policies, programs, and operations of the school;
• Providing alumnae/i with information about the school: its philosophy, programs, methods, and operations; Supporting the faculty and staff of the school in their efforts to create the best possible educational environment for students;
• Helping to communicate to alumnae/i the actions and activities of the Council; Supporting the fund raising efforts of the school.

Members of the Board participate in committees, including events, experiential programs, and communications.
