Just in time for International Week

Author: Patrick Baker  •

Just in time for International Week, the third graders had an opportunity to learn about global trade. Representing seperate countries, students had the opportunity to trade high-demand items (in the form of candy) with other “countries.”

Through this lesson, students learned about mutually beneficial trading, the importance of persuading others to trade with them when there were a multitude of interested parties, and how a badly-handled trade can sour relationships between involved parties! Overall, the third graders demonstrated great futures in handling international negotiations!
