Director of College Counseling
“I was not an Aggie but I got here as fast as I could!!” Although Leah is a Texas Tech Red Raider at heart she now bleeds “Maroon” after her family moved to Aggieland. Leah and her husband Jay, Texas A&M class of ’85, have been married for 22 years. They have a beautiful nine-year old daughter, Elisabeth, who is a Fourth grader at Allen Academy. They enjoy gardening, walking-hiking and cooking together.
Leah has twenty-two years experience as an educator. She served as a teacher, counselor and administrator at Bay City High School, Van Vleck High School, Llano High School and most recently at St. Mary’s School in Fredericksburg.
When her family made the move to Bryan/College Station in 2013 they wanted a school that was welcoming, had a “family” atmosphere, allowed students to grow academically while instilling the values of life-long learning and community service. Allen Academy provides all of these opportunities.
“Allen Academy, because of its students, parents and staff, has a special spirit about it. The Allen Academy family and community is an unique place and I love being able to see the students grow and plan for their college futures. It is an exciting time in their lives and I’m proud to be apart of it.”
