Milton Hershey’s Birthday
After celebrating Milton Hershey’s birthday with a day full of chocolate activities, the 2nd graders continued the chocolate fun with a couple of science experiments. They participated in finding out how quickly a Hershey’s Kiss would melt in a closed hand compared to an open hand and wrote their results. They also experimented with different types of miniature chocolate candy bars to discover which would float and which ones would sink. They stated their hypothesis, discussed their observations, completed the experiment and then wrote their own conclusions. Science is fun and can taste delicious, too!
