We are excited for a great school year!
Dear New Families,
We are excited about gearing up for a great 2016/2017 school year! To start, here are two important dates:
Monday, August 15th: ‘Meet the Teacher’. Students and parents are invited to come and meet their teachers, bring in any supplies and take a look at their classrooms.
PS – From 9:30 – 10:00
LS – From 10:00 – 11:00
MS/US – From 10:00 – 11:45
Wednesday, August 17th: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 8:00 am (School building will be open from 7:30 am)
** All Preschool classes will finish at 1:00 pm August 17th – August 20th. Extended Day services will be available until 5:30 pm on these days
The following information will help your family to make the very best start to the new school year and ensure that your child is ready to jump into action from the very first day!
All students are expected to complete some summer reading. Click (HERE) to find out what exciting reads are in store for your child this summer.
Stay ahead of the game and order your uniform from Land’s End NOW before stocks run low. Sometimes, towards the start of the school year, there can be backlogs and wait times for polos. It’s never too early to order uniform. Simply go to Land’s End and select ‘Uniforms’ you will be asked to input the name of the school and the address (3201 Boonville Road, Bryan TX 77802). Our uniform choices will appear. Please note that khakis may be purchased from other outlets, but polos, which need the school logo, and girls’ skirts and dresses must be ordered through Lands’ End.
**Please note that the School Store sells gently used uniform and also holds Land’s End samples for sizing purposes. The school store will be open during the summer vacation (dates and times TBA shortly).
Supplies for students in PK-5th grade can be ordered through EPI (our school ID is ALL053) and delivered directly to the school. If you wish to do this, orders must be placed before June 26th. After this date, you can still access supply lists here, but parents will have to purchase the items themselves locally. Middle and Upper School students will find out about needed supplies once school begins.
You can order textbooks through MBS bookstore. Once you enter the site, follow the directions to find the books required for your grade level/s. Ordering has never been so easy! Once again, sometimes stocks can run low towards the start of the school year, so order early! *First day to order is Friday, June 16th.
Middle/Upper School Laptop Program
In order to further our goal to have our students ready for their future, we are rolling out a more intentional use of technology for our students. In 2016-2017 that will look like:
PS- students will more fully integrate technology in their development of language and phonics
K-4 Grade- Students will use the computer lab, Chromebooks, iPads for centers/stations and projects
5 Grade- Haiku, typing skills, academic support, foreign language enrichment
6 Grade and 9 Grade- Bring Your Own Laptop program (more information in this FAQ link)
7, 8 and 10-12- Laptops optional
In 2017-2018 we will expand our Bring Your Own Laptop program to include 7 and 10 grade, as well as expand our technology offerings in the LS. We will grow the program each year until we have our Bring Your Own Laptop Program 6-12
Please contact your Division Head if you have any specific questions about what this means for your child moving forward.

In rejoining TAPPS, our coaches and athletes have many more required forms and housekeeping items. While it may seem exhausting, completing these are of utmost importance for two reasons: 1. Most of the forms are to ensure the health and safety of our student athletes 2. We must set an example by following the rules and procedures set forth by TAPPS and live by their standards of “Competition with Honor”. All of these forms are also available under the student forms section at the following link. We encourage everyone to check our website and the TAPPS website regularly for updates.
All middle school and high school student athletes must complete the following forms:
