The Lady Rams Volleyball team defeated El Paso Tec de Monterrey in the TCAL 2A State Finals on Saturday to claim the State Championship!

The win, a 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-15) sweep of the Borregos capped a spectacular season! Led by Senior, Outside Hitter Jessica Little – named the Tournament MVP – and Junior, All-Tournament selections Ally Friedman and A’Lyssa Cunningham – the Lady Rams defeated three opponents at the tournament in convincing fashion! In the championship match, the ladies shut down the Borregos top offensive players, executing well and scoring points with a strong display of offense. Also decided while at the Tournament were the All-State teams. Little, Friedman and Claire Shenkir were all named 1st Team All-State, Sophie Fojt, Cunningham and Sabha Dosani were named 2nd Team, and Kendall Kacal Honorable Mention. The team finishes the season ranked as the #1 team in all of TCAL with a record of 24-6. The 24 wins double the win total of the 2014 team and marks a 20-win improvement from 2013. The State Championship marks the first title for the Lady Rams in Volleyball since 2002, and the third overall in school history (the other was won in 2000). Congratulations, Lady Rams!
