Academic Background:

What do you love about Allen?  It would be the people and that no two days are ever the same!

Other hats you wear or have worn at Allen or previous schools:

What are you passionate about?  Learning about the non-profit world.  Unlike the faculty the business office is a second career path and the accounting is quite different from the public sector.  If you are in accounting and want to know where you will ever use fund accounting – we use it every day.

Interesting Facts about you: Worked for an economics firm handling contracts with the Department of State, Commerce and Treasury including contract management and cost proposals for new business opportunities.  Worked for a family as a private accountant handling their joint ventures and construction projects.  Was a Financial Analyst with the A&M System Treasury Services handling their debt management.

I love to quilt and don’t call or text on Sunday nights – it’s Masterpiece Theatre.

Favorite book? Pride and Prejudice but got hooked on Agatha Christie in Junior High and I have read her every book and short story.

Favorite quote? I really like Teddy Roosevelt’s words “Do what you can, where you are, with what you have” but I strive to replace the “what” with “all”.
