What an exciting morning!

Yesterday, Allen Academy began its 131st year of educating young people in the Brazos Valley. Opening our doors this fall with the largest student body in over a decade, our 331 boys and girls range in age from 3 to 19, hail from 28 different zip codes, and represent 23 different nationalities. We also have almost 80 new students on campus, including children who are third generation Allen, numerous siblings, and several students with parents who work at Texas A&M. We also have energetic families who have moved to (or back to) the Brazos Valley and are excited about sending their children to the only independent school in town.

What has caused the buzz around town is a fantastic teaching staff. As we open this year, Allen also boasts its largest faculty and staff in recent history, including new faculty from around the nation to join an already talented staff from PreK to 12th grade. Several new positions have been created or become full-time as a result of our growth, and this only makes the student experience all the more rich.

And thanks to all of you, Allen is coming off a record year in fundraising, as well as increased alumni activity and participation.

Athletically, the school returns to TAPPS this fall, providing increased competition on the courts and fields for its boys and girls, as well as opportunities in academic and arts competitions.

And while never taken for granted, Allen Academy was recently voted the “Best Private School” in the Brazos Valley for the 4th year in a row.

Thanks and here’s to a great year!
